Heat pumps offer an energy-efficient alternative to furnaces and air conditioners for all climates. Similar to your refrigerator, heat pump use electricity to transfer heat from a cool space to warm space, making the cool space cooler and the warm space warmer. Click below to learn more.
A cooling tower is a specialized heat exchanger, in which air and water are brought into direct contact with each other in order to reduce the water’s temperature. As this occurs, a small volume of water is evaporated, reducing temperature of the water being circulated through the tower.
Circulator pumps move hot water in pipes around the building so that it's ready to use faster, limiting the need to run the tap and therefore saving a lot of water, time, and money. There are basically two types of pumps: old three-speed / three-stage and modern electric pumps. Improperly selected circulator pump can cause heating discomfort, uneven heating, high energy consumption and a lack or excess of hot water.
A unit heater is often a stand-alone appliance serving to heat a given space and capable of operating on different energy sources. The possible source could include steam, hot water, fuel, oil, propane and natural gas.
A radiant tube heater or high-intensity heater emulates the warmth of the sub by generating radiant energy that converts to useable heath when absorbed by objects in its path. In buildings, objects such as tools, machinery flooring absorb the infrared radiant energy.
